Will there be lifeguards at the pool party? OOH YES and Security!
Plus Private designated Canabas poolside to change into your tail and slip into the pool.
Will Hannah and MeduSirena be swimming and/or performing at the pool party?
Hannah and MeduSirena will both be performing at the pool party. (Will they be just performing or performing and swimming among the other mers?)
If they decide to swim with you that's their choice in the moment. They will be performing and everyone is welcome to swim. We will be having a show and we want everyone to respect the show and enjoy it and not interupt it in anyway.Hannah and MeduSirena will both be performing at the pool party. (Will they be just performing or performing and swimming among the other mers?)
Will there be food/drinks available in or near the pool party? Is there food allowed in the pool area? Yes they will have servers you can order what ever you want.
Will there be press at the pool party? Of course!!!
Will all mers be able to swim in the Mirage pool at any time on Friday or Saturday if they are attending an event, or are only Mirage guests allowed after the pool party has ended?
Yes all ticket holder are welcome, you don't need to be staying at the hotel to be a mer this weekend.

Are there vegetarian and/or non-seafood eating options available on the Seafood Buffet for the Awards?
OOH yes i am vegetarian, soo of course i am creating the menu. I used to own a mermaid restaurant called the "Mermaids Grotto" so i am over seeing the Maui Mermaids buffet myself.
Are all mers welcome to participate in the 11pm-2am pool party after the awards, or only mers who hold Award tickets? Only mers with awards tickets. This is a celebration for all the mers to swim. We have a limited amount of tickets for the after pool celebration so buy early.
How do the nominations for the Awards work? Do you merely need to be nominated for a category via email or the WMA Facebook discussion board, or do you need to submit a video?
You have to Submit and video and then be accepted. It must be a mermaid themed video, not just any random video will be accepted into the voting section on june 1st. Some People are already nominees from years of work in the industry, like Thom Shouse, Hannah Fraser, and MeduSirena, etc.
Can you submit the same video for a number of categories? Sure enter as many videos and in as many categories.
It says for the Awards contest rules, "Do not submit any video that violates copyright, trademarks, service marks, or right to privacy/publicity laws". Does this mean that music not owned by the contestant is not allowed in contest entries? Yes because we will show these videos live and they may go national.
One of the Awards contest categories is "Worlds Greatest Mermaid Underwater". What does this entail, and how does it differ from "Worlds Greatest Mermaid"? Not that many mermaids swim deep underwater very often, so this means breath holding and being underwater the most often.
Some of the categories have only "mermaid" in them. Is it implied that mermen are also allowed to compete in these categories? YES
What do award winners receive for winning a category? They will receive a Mermaid Award trophy, and Prizes to to announced.
It says these events are "Charitable Events for the Purity of Water & Life on this Planet". What does that mean? Will a portion of the profits go to a particular charity or cause?
We will select many charities not just one. We want to see those funds go to many places that make a difference. The world is wide with many things that need to be attended to. Water Purity is on top of the list! No water No life! Water is the breastmilk from mother earth. Without it we perish.
